Emergency Shelter

TZG_2995.JPG

Barrisol Sydney was asked by two prominent architectural firms to co-sponsor the Japanese Emergency Shelter Exhibition at Customs House. COX Richardson and Tonkin Zulaikha Greer Architects both designed two completely different but interesting shelters in their bid to raise money for the Tsunami victims in Japan. With all other components donated by other companies and constructed by ICHOR Construction + BUILT, the shelters came together quickly and seamlessly to be on display for 3 days last week.
Translucent Barrisol was used to wrap both shelters to provide a typical Japanese looking screen which at night glowed to reveal silhouettes of people inside.

We thank you to both COX Richardson + TZG for including us in this worthwhile exhibition.
